WHAT MAKES THE Switch 7 STAND OUT
The Switch 7 was born out of a desire to race. With the factory race team in place and the EDR as its test bed we strove to create what we believed to be the ultimate race bike. With a focus on manouverability composure and speed we utilised the power link suspension layout to offer riders the best tool for the job. Taking on the worlds fastest racers in the most challenging of events.

MEET THE FAMILY

The Switch 7 is a true representation of Orange Bikes’ capabilities in frame development and production. The frame and each individual component have seen extensive FEA analysis and 3D modelling to optimise each structure to perform at its best.

Of course, we back all of this up with real-world prototype testing and have clocked up the miles amongst the test team, Factory Racing team and a few riders who are known for being hard on bikes, validating the computer analysis and giving us the confidence in the design.

This is a completely UK made frame, manufactured by the hands of craftsmen with decades of experience, from flat sheets of aerospace grade aluminium to individually custom-fabricated tubes, seam-welded for each specific purpose, working in harmony with CNCed components from aluminium billet meticulously modelled and analysed.

DIG DEEPER

If we don’t think something is ready to go, we don’t make it. We go back to the drawing board and start again. We have the luxury of the Strange Technologies R&D department right here in-house. It affords as the opportunity to build, tune and refine all of out models long before we release them to you. It’s a huge plus.

Please note: This is for guidance only. You may be taller or shorter, it doesn't mean our bikes will not fit you. The best way to determine the correct bike size for you is to try one. We've added some more explanation on sizing theory here

Do what we do well.

The one thing that never changes is that everything will always change. Once you accept that, the rest is easy.
We’re not middle men, we’re not box shifters, we’re doing what we do to make mountain biking fun for anyone that wants to come aboard. Hand crafted, reliable, high-performance bicycles.

Increasingly we live in a global community, and for others nearly everything is sourced from anonymous factories from all over the world - the reason? Economics. Buy cheap, sell high. We design all our frames here in the UK. Nothing gets picked from a salesman’s catalogue.

ON top of that our high-end model’s frames are built from aircraft grade 6061 aluminium right here at our fabrication plant in Halifax (Elland), West Yorkshire. We know it’s not cheap, it’s not meant to be easier - but we think it’s the best. It’s no secret that we also have frame building partners in Taiwan, and we work only with the best people with relationships going from fathers to sons - they are part of the extended Orange family.
