A WOLF AMONG SHEEP
This Switch a hardcore Halifax hardtail, built with the same love and attention as our full suspension frames, is the rough and tough new kid on the block. Ready to beast the trails with its 150mm travel fork and aggressive MX geometry, we are sure this bike is destined for legendary status.
WHAT MAKES THE SWITCH STAND OUT
Designed from the ground up with a wish list of features to produce our version of the best hardcore hardtail.
The frame, built at our Halifax factory, has been painstakingly detailed using the fabrication techniques we are renowned for - resulting in a light, responsive, rugged hardtail frame that's ready for anything. From the brand new CNCed UDH compatible dropouts, all the way through to the zero-stack headtube this frame has been honed and perfected. Seat-tube sizing has been reduced to give riders plenty of scope for dropper seatposts. There are plenty of mounting options on the frame so you can add our Strange carry-on accessory mount or bottles where you want them.
MEET THE FAMILY
The Switch is a Halifax built MX wheeled hardcore hardtail - Fast rolling, agile and with a 150mm fork and 29" wheel upfront lies up to its hardcore name. The UK built frame offers a true connect with the trail. Its long wheel base gives it bags of confidence on fast descents and its aesthetics separate the wolves from the sheep.

ENTER THE SWITCH
The Switch is an MX wheeled bike with 29" front and 27.5" rear wheel - harnessing the benefits of both in a single package. The rolling speed of the bigger wheel and ability to change direction of the smaller wheel. A hardtail is the most honest of mountain bikes, there's no where to hide and no excuses for poor form. They hone your skills and continue to perform even when the weather is less than optimum.
Please note: This is for guidance only. You may be taller or shorter, it doesn't mean our bikes will not fit you. The best way to determine the correct bike size for you is to try one. We've added some more explanation on sizing theory here
Do what we do well.
The one thing that never changes is that everything will always
change. Once you accept that, the rest is easy.
We’re not middle men, we’re not box shifters, we’re doing what we do to make mountain biking fun for anyone that wants to come aboard. Hand crafted, reliable, high-performance bicycles.
Increasingly we live in a global community, and for others nearly everything is sourced from anonymous factories from all over the world - the reason? Economics. Buy cheap, sell high. We design all our frames here in the UK. Nothing gets picked from a salesman’s catalogue.
ON top of that our high-end model’s frames are built from aircraft grade 6061 aluminium right here at our fabrication plant in Halifax (Elland), West Yorkshire. We know it’s not cheap, it’s not meant to be easier - but we think it’s the best. It’s no secret that we also have frame building partners in Taiwan, and we work only with the best people with relationships going from fathers to sons - they are part of the extended Orange family.
