THE Patriot Build

The Patriot is a mixed wheel E.P.O model, with an appetite for aggressive fast terrain. Made with 180mm of travel up front and 170mm at the rear. Designed & manufactured right here in the U.K at our purpose built facility. The Patriot name has always been synonymous with big hitting capable bikes, this Avinox specced version continues that lineage creating the most aggressive E.P.O. model to date.

WHAT MAKES THE PATRIOT STAND OUT

The Patriot is the next step in the evolution of our E.P.O. program. At Orange it's all about the ride, and we've made substantial improvements to the Patriot chasis. We've made revisions to geometry more suited to its gravity focussed nature, tweeks to the kinematics to maintain its composure on the roughest trails and reviewed every tube to ensure we have the perfect balance between compliance and grip. Couple this with the power of the Avinox M2S motor and the new Patriot feels ready for anything.

With 180mm of travel front and 170mm travel at the rear controlled by our PowerLink the Patriot offers you the platform to descend all day and take on the trails biggest features. Our newest platform oozes speed and feels composed in every circumstance.

The Patriot really is your personal shuttle to the top. Excelling in fast rough terrain but equally at home where the trail turns steep and loose. This bike excels where the uplift doesn't go. Performance is the corner stone of our brand, If we don’t think something is ready, we don’t make it. We go back to the drawing board and start again. We have the luxury of the Strange Technologies R&D department right here in-house. It affords us the opportunity to build, tune and refine all of our models long before we release them to you. So you know that our bikes will exceed your expectations.

MADE IN BRITAIN

It doesn't matter whether you're buying our top spec E-bike or your very first Mountainbike, the initial concept of that bike was born right here in the UK.

All our full suspension bikes, E.P.O models and a select few of our hardtails are manufactured here at our factory in Halifax, UK. That doesn't mean where we put the sticker on, It means produced from flat sheets of aerospace grade aluminium all the way through to the complete bikes our customers know and love.

Fit for purpose

We have every material option available to us when it comes to full suspension frame manufacturing, but we still choose aluminium every single time!

As a material it's what we deem as fit for purpose, the stresses, the strains and the unseen impacts we put our bikes through in challenging terrain all take their toll. Aluminium offers the reliability, strength and weight we deem essential when desigining a mountain bike frame and that's before you even get on to its enviromental benefits!

The Patriot features a brand new and improved frame with an Avinox drive system and 800Wh integrated battery, offering more range than ever before.

The Patriot is the result of 10 years riding and developing E-bikes. Culminating in what is our finest work to date!

The Phase wields a 62.5° head angle, 78° seat angle, reduced offset fork, refined reach measurements and, trunnion mounted shock and PowerLink controlling the frames progression, but it also incorporates Avinox's (DJI) 800Wh battery technology. This all culminates in geometry you can depend on, composure on the most challenging of terrain, better small bump compliance and a bike that will keep going lap after lap.

We even sweat the small details so you don't have to, a replaceable stainless steel bash guard protects your investment, UDH dropouts make your drivetrain future proof and a 5 year frame warranty with limited lifetime crash replacement policy means you never have to worry.

With MX wheels, 180mm travel front and 170mm rear this bike is prepared to go wherever you are willing to take it.

CONSTRUCTION

At Orange we never stand still. With every iteration we hone our production processes to improve every frame's performance and features where needed. With our state of the art facility and aluminium craftsmen who hold years of experience, we think that the frames we produce today are among the finest we've ever made and indeed probably the finest in the world. We don't know of anyone else that goes to the lengths we do to create a performance mountainbike frame the way we do.

The one thing that never changes is that everything will always change. Once you accept that, the rest is easy.

Increasingly we live in a global community, and for others nearly everything is sourced from anonymous factories from all over the world - the reason? Economics. Buy cheap, sell high. We design all our frames here in the UK. Nothing gets picked from a salesman’s catalogue.

ON top of that our high-end model’s frames are built from aircraft grade 6061 aluminium right here at our fabrication plant in Halifax (Elland), West Yorkshire. We know it’s not cheap, it’s not meant to be easier - but we think it’s the best. It’s no secret that we also have frame building partners in Taiwan, and we work only with the best people with relationships going from fathers to sons - they are part of the extended Orange family.
