As an all-round trail bike, it is hard to argue against the Five's versatility. Its capable of delivering the goods on your daily commute to spending a week being thrashed in the Alps.

The compact rear layout makes the suspension more active than any Five to date. The skillfully crafted hollow in the downtube allows us to lower the rear shock's position in the frame which gives us improved rear shock ramp-up and a super plush suspension feel, and gains in small bump performance.

All the major frame components have extra strength-forming features, improving resistance to lateral flex and twisting forces. Boost 148 sizing at the rear hub and an extra 6mm width in the pivot spacing help here too, enabling us to add more tyre clearance. All in all with weight savings we've found in the billet machined parts, this is the lightest Five frame we’ve ever produced.

The Five has grown with us and evolved so far, with a lively ‘pop’ that really has to be experienced. Grip, trail feedback and an active ride are all there in abundance. Try it, you'll like it.

    THE FORMULA CONCEPT

Call us sentimental, but in our 30th year we can’t help reminiscing.

In the early days of Orange we had an exclusive model we named the Formula. They were never intended for sale, they were simply the best of the best and issued only to a select group of Team riders.

Based on that concept, we’ve decided to reinvent the Formula spec for the 21st century. Available on the iconic Five and Alpine 6

So exactly like the original Formulas – but with one tiny difference…

…now you can have one too.

    MBUK | Five S | November 2016

While the classic layout looks the same, Orange have evolved every dynamic detail to put this classic, intuitively interactive, addictively visceral trail machine right back at the top of the pile in terms of tough, practical value and pure enjoyment.

    MBUK | Five Pro | September 2016

I’ll be riding it as much as possible into the ensuing weather with as much excitement as the first time I rode it.

    PinkBike | Five | July 2016

it's refreshing to see a brand like Orange, who, for all intents and purposes, have been doing their own thing without deviation and doing it well for longer than most.

    Enduro MTB | Five | July 2016

We knew the Five was a nimble bike anyway, but it now seems more stable with its longer wheelbase

    Singletrack | Five | July 2016

The new Five felt buttery smooth and very confidence inspiring.

    Dirt | Five | July 2016

The silent ride on Five is impressive but overall it’s the fun, precise ride of the Orange Five that sparkles.
