Overview

Why the Alpine 6 Formula?

  • Frame designed and built in Britain
  • 5 year frame warranty
  • Single-pivot suspension for optimum performance, efficiency and reliability
  • 27.5" tubeless ready wheelset
  • Boost 148 rear hub spacing
  • Alpine-trail honed geometry
  • Long top tube and wheelbase coupled to a shorter stem for high-speed stability
  • Unique monocoque aluminium and tubing chassis
  • 170mm Front/160mm rear travel
  • Special Polished graphics on Black Anodised frame finish
  • Race Face Arc 31 Carbon 27.5 + Hope Pro 4 Wheelset
  • Cane Creek Helm 27.5 170mm Fork
  • Cane Creek DB In Line 216 x 63 Rear Shock
  • Fox Factory Transfer 150mm drop with internal dropper routing

Tough lightweight frames, handbuilt in Britain, featuring polished graphics on a sleek black anodised finish, then assembled with a dream component package that includes the ultimate tune-ability of Cane Creek’s Helm fork and DBair IL shock plus a wheelset centred on Race Face’s Arc 31 carbon rims show that the Formulas are focussed solely on performance.

The Alpine 6 is the de-facto big mountain leveller. Engineered to perform in the roughest mountain terrain.

The Alpine 6 geometry is designed around 170mm front/160mm rear travel. With its slacker 64.5° head angle matched to the 170mm fork we get that alpine handling feel we all love; confident, unflappable and most importantly, fun.

With neat finishing touches like internal cable routing, every element of the frame’s construction has been analysed and optimised, to the point that, size for size, the Alpine 6 frame is significantly lighter and stronger than its predecessors.

One of our most popular models and it's easy to see why. Whether in the heat of competition, or simply being ridden for laughs, the Alpine 6 has that spirit we love in a bike, the ability to surge through the rough stuff and rewards the rider that pushes hard.

THE FORMULA CONCEPT

Call us sentimental, but in our 30th year we can’t help reminiscing.

In the early days of Orange we had an exclusive model we named the Formula. They were never intended for sale, they were simply the best of the best and issued only to a select group of Team riders.

Based on that concept, we’ve decided to reinvent the Formula spec for the 21st century. Available on the iconic Five and Alpine 6.

So exactly like the original Formulas – but with one tiny difference…

…now you can have one too.
